he retail industry business models have fundamentally changed over the last two decades. It used to be mainly made of a vast number of small, often family-operated retail shops, department stores, shopping malls, and some big traditional brands. In contrast to today’s global companies that seem to rule more than the economic system.
As a result of the pandemic, the retail sector as of 2022 is increasing a throwing away culture and highly-rapid digital swifts. The growth of disposable income and the accessibility of products has made people's mindsets change drastically.
Through this project we intend to portray plausible futures within the retail industry to explore possible alternatives for companies in the next years coming.

CLASS ACTIVITY:
Before presenting, we asked the students, how likely did they imagine the 3 future of retail scenarios, by placing their vote on the next sheet with light colored stickers.
After presenting, we asked them to do so, again, based on what we mentioned, with dark colored stickers.
This exercise, led to an internal conversation about the incidence of Research for Design in the real world, to conclude with the semester.
